People looking to straighten their teeth but without a metal smile should opt for invisalign treatment, one specialist has claimed.
Writing for the Woodinville Weekly, Dr Majed Moawad described how the modern technique alters the location of teeth without metal wires or bands.
He explained how clear aligners are custom-made and designed to be worn between 20 and 22 hours a day until teeth are in the correct position.
Treatment is more hygienic than traditional methods, as the dental wear can be removed when cleaning the mouth or eating, Dr Moawad stated.
However, he commented that the aligners will need replacing every two weeks so that they continue to fit properly as the teeth shift.
Writing for the Desert Sun newspaper, Dr Andrew Ordon recently advised individuals who want to improve their smile for summer to consider having their teeth whitened.
He suggested that the cosmetic procedure could help people look and feel better throughout the warmer months.
