A football fan was spotted brushing his teeth at last Sunday’s (November 8th) Barclay’s Premier League top of the table clash between Chelsea and Manchester United.
On viewing the footage after the match, BBC Radio 5 Live host DJ Spoony asked: "Why has he got a toothbrush in the stadium? And more importantly, why is he brushing his teeth in the stadium?"
His co-host Gabriele Marcotti replied "Dental hygiene. Every time you eat something, you should brush your teeth afterwards."
The fan was filmed on Sky Sports and later rang into the radio station to explain that he had not had the time to brush his teeth before the game and so had taken his brush with him.
This highlights the need for regularly brushing, as AsiaOne Health recently reported that maintaining a good oral health routine will help a person keep their teeth in good health for longer.
It also advised daily flossing to remove any debris or plaque that brushing alone may miss.
