A couple who failed to seek emergency dentistry for their children have been arrested for neglect.
John and Donna Grobelny were charged after denying their two children necessary dental care, WFMZ-TV reports.
Officials discovered the seven-year-old and nine-year-old children's teeth had began to rot due to a lack of medical attention.
The couple, who were reportedly aware of their children's dental problems, face reckless endangerment prosecution.
Police reports claim the children complained about the pain caused by the severe decay. However, their parents failed to act.
Both parents are currently serving time in Northampton County Prison while the children have been taken into care.
BUPA healthcare advises parents to take their children for regular dental check-ups to avoid decay which can cause infection or toothache if left untreated.
The organisation also recommends mothers and fathers ensure their youngsters use a protective fluoride toothpaste during brushing to provide additional support for teeth and gums.
