Most people that suffered a dental injury would probably get straight to the emergency dentist to have their teeth repaired but that wasn’t the case for basketball player Goran Dragic; when the Miami Heat guard took a knock in the mouth from another player he simply spat out his tooth, tossed it aside and continued to play the game.
Dragic, 29, took an elbow in the face from Detroit Piston’s Spencer Dinwiddie in the second quarter of the game and still managed to pass the ball to a teammate before stopping momentarily to spit out his broken tooth. He looked to the referee for a foul but no call was made after the pair clashed on court. The tooth was tossed aside and someone picked it up from their seat close to the action. Dragic was subbed shortly after for Dwayne Wade and sought medical attention.
This is not the first time the player has suffered tooth loss mid-game; in December last year he had a tooth knocked out during a game against the Atlanta Hawks – he did manage to get a foul called that time he suffered dental trauma during a game.
