A patient who recently had dental implants has praised them for their strength and resemblance to his real teeth.
John DeSanto, 53, told PennLive.com that the two teeth he had replaced are stronger than the rest of his jaw.
"I have absolutely no problems. I brush my teeth normally, eat and drink whatever I want. It's like you have new teeth there," he enthused.
Dr Charles Foer told the news provider that he loves implants, because they do not require adjacent teeth to be ground down in order to fit.
He explained that where they are suitable for patients, they are his first choice over bridges and dentures.
This follows recent comments from Newsmax.com, which stated that dental implants are better than dentures, crowns and bridges because they will not fall out.
The website also stated that they have a 95 per cent success rate when it comes to implantation.
