A refit of a dentist’s surgery in London has helped create some unusual art.
A London cosmetic dentist has decided to brighten up the waiting room at his surgery by creating miniatures of tiny workmen carrying out cosmetic and emergency dentistry treatments.
The Metro reported Dr Ian Davis, of Golden Green, north London, felt his waiting area needed something to add a sense of humour and help patients to relax before their appointments.
As a result, he created a range of miniature scenes, including workmen carrying out scale and polish work, filling cavities and carrying out general repairs on teeth. He depicted the miniature workers using paintbrushes, trowels, setting up scaffolding and using shovels and picks.
“I thought, ‘what if teeth were the size of a house or a car – how would they be treated?’,” said Dr Davis.
Elsewhere, Cosmetic Dentistry Guide recently reported Dr M Johnson Hagood, who practices dentistry in Vero Beach, Florida, was recently invited to take part in an exhibition at the Artists Guild Gallery.
Dr Hagood has been painting for the last ten years and is presently exhibiting his work as part of the gallery’s Color-rich Impressions of Nature show.
