A dentist from Bolton has won an award.
Bolton dentist Michael Cahill recently picked up the runner-up prize at this year’s MPOD Best Of The Best conference.
He was awarded second place in the Provision Of Extreme Patient Services category, with Cahill Dental Care proving a popular choice among the judges.
The surgery was praised for its offering of a range of services, including dental implants, teeth whitening, dental veneers and bridges, as well as hygiene treatments.
Dr Cahill was presented his prize by practice manager Gayna Horridge.
Elsewhere, Cosmetic Dentistry Guide recently reported Irish dentist Dr Freda Guiney was nominated for and won a prize for her sensitive actions from the Journal of the Irish Dental Association after she treated a pregnant women during a late-night emergency.
Dr Guiney, a dentist who practices in Classes Lake, Ballincollig, in the Republic of Ireland, faxed a prescription to a late-night pharmacist and kept in touch with the expectant mother over the next few days to check she was recovering well.
