If you are unsure whether you have a mouth abscess these are some common symptoms that people experience:

  • An intense pain in the affected area.

How To Treat A Mouth Abscess

A mouth abscess can be treated in a number of ways depending on which type of abscess it is and how severe the issue has become. The general options could be one or a combination of the following:

  1. Root canal treatment to remove the infection from the inside of the tooth while restoring the tooth to full health.
  2. Drainage of the abscess to remove the build-up of pus and other materials.
  3. A tooth extraction if root canal treatment is not possible.
  4. Antibiotics if the infection is severe or has spread.
