Temporary veneers too big

I am due to have six porcelain veneers placed on my top front six teeth and my dentist had made some temporary veneers for me last week which are supposed to look similar to the final ones, whilst my veneers are being manufactured.

However when ever I smile in the mirror and look at my temporary veneers, I think that they are too big and bulky. I also find that I sometimes bite my lip with my temporary veneers when I am speaking or eating.

If I am having these problems with my temporary veneers does this mean, I could have these same problems with my final veneers. Can the porcelain veneers be manufactured differently so that these issues are corrected?

I would recommend that you go back to see your dentist and let him know of these issues before the final veneers are made.

Some changes can be usually made to the design of the final porcelain veneers as long as the shape of the teeth underneath them allow these changes to be made.

However its better for you to see your dentist before the final veneers are made, as he/she may have to change the shape of the teeth underneath and take new impressions for the lab.
