lumineers vs. veneers

Hi

I have discoloured front teeth which have over the last few years become very dull and yellow. I recently did teeth whitening and it made my teeth a little whiter but they are still very yellow.

My dentist recommended getting porcelain veneers to make my teeth whiter and I have since then been looking at my various options for getting a smile makeover. I am looking to get 6 to 8 lumineers or veneers for my smile makeover.

I have come across both lumineers and veneers with hugely different prices and looks. I would like to know what are the main differences between lumineers and normal veneers? Which type of veneer looks better and what is the difference in cost?

In my opinion, Lumineers are great at creating the perfect hollywood smile with really white veneers. Some patients like this look and others prefer their veneers to be more characterized. If you prefer a more characterized veneer look, you would be better off with Emax veneers as long as the Emax veneers are made by a highly skilled cosmetic dental lab.

If the dental lab technician is highly skilled and cosmetically minded, he can create really great looking characterized emax veneers and take your veneer shade and design wishes into consideration when you go to see them.
