How painful is the process of getting veneers?

Hi

I would like to get some dental veneers for my top teeth and I have been looking at the different options of Emax veneers and Lumineers and have decided that Lumineers are probably the best veneer for my needs.

I have to tell you that I am very needle phobic and don't wish to have any tooth drilling if possible, simply because I think without injections, there will be pain when the dentist is drilling my teeth for the veneers.

Can you tell me how painful is the process of getting veneers? how many veneers you would recommend and how do I start the process?

Different veneer cases need different amounts of tooth drilling. Some cases need no tooth drilling at all, some other cases need a lot of tooth drilling depending on the position of the teeth and the final result needed.

If tooth drilling is needed, local anaesthetic is usually used and then you will have no pain at all. If you cant tolerate injections and your veneers require tooth drilling, you have the option of sedation followed by Local anaesthetic.
