How do I get a wider smile?

Hello

I would like to know if you can help. When I smile I don't show much of my top molar teeth and I have always wanted to show more of my back teeth when I smile.

I don't know if putting veneers on my molars could help to make my molar teeth more prominent and make me have a wider smile. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Could you tell me if there are any risks with making my smile wider and how long the procedure takes?

Thank you for you question.

I am not sure to get a wider smile is an issue of cosmetic surgery or cosmetic dentistry. It will be of a cosmetic dentistry case if your molar teeth are not visible when you smile due to being too palatally positioned. If so this will be the case of orthodontic treatment to to move teeth more towards the cheeks and hence becoming more visible when you smile. If this is of a mild form and there is no cross bite then it will be possible to improve the situation with with veneers.

What I am mentioning here is largely based on guess assessments of your teeth and facial structures and has limited accuracy to it. The best option would be for you to come and visit us so we can clinically assess your case and give you more accurate information.
