    Red face Porcelain teeth

    Hiya

I would like porcelain teeth on my front teeth. I don't know to have six or eight porcelain teeth but I would like the result to look really good. My friend had four done and she says that her natural teeth look a bit darker next to the porcelain teeth.

She has tried teeth whitening the other natural teeth but they still look a little but darker compared to the porcelain teeth. When I smile I usually can see my top front eight teeth but only a little bit of my lower teeth.

I would like a situation where I don't need to keep doing whitening my natural top teeth, so I suppose eight porcelain teeth would be better. I would appreciate your advise on how many I should have and an estimate of cost.

    Smile Porcelain teeth

    Thank you for your post.

Having six veneers usually can cause a situation where the buccal corridor (teeth around the corner of the mouth) look flat and it looks too much like false porcelain teeth at the front and usually patients try to avoid this situation.

Eight or ten veneers will usually look good and if you only show eight front teeth when you smile, then eight should be enough. Each emax veneer costs £445 and we provide you with free teeth whitening for your lower teeth.

    Default Porcelain teeth

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

The number of veneers that one decides to place on the teeth depends on two factors. One is that how many teeth are there that one is not happy with the shape and size and angulation. The second, for a perfect and beautiful uniform smile, is that how many teeth are visible when one smiles.

From your question it seems that you know what you are talking about and it is clear that you understand how smiles are designed. As you correctly say, if you do not want to rely of whitening teeth all the time and want whiter teeth, then you should have porcelain teeth to the number that is visible when you smile. In most cases this between 8-10 teeth.

The cost depends on the number you wish to do. Porcelain veneers at Pear dental Clinic start from £395 with conventional porcelain veneers (that need a lot more tooth removal than Emax or Lumineer veneers) and goes up to £445 for Emax and £495 for Lumineer veneers each. Once your assessment is done and decided which type will the most suitable for you then you multiply that by eight.
