Diagnostic waxups

Hi

I saw my dentist last week for a consultation regarding Lumineers. He says that he does not do any Lumineers but says he does do porcelain veneers. He recommended that I have diagnostic waxups so that I can see how my teeth will look before I have the porcelain veneers done.

I am not very keen on porcelain veneers because he was talking about a lot of my teeth areas being shaved down. I would like to know if Lumineers also do diagnostic waxups and exactly what would I be able to see and tell from the diagnostic waxups?

Roughly how long do Lumineers/Veneers take to make diagnostic waxup and from start to finish how long does the whole procedure take including the final veneers/lumineers?

Lumineers labs do some of the best wax up models that I have seen. What will happen once your wax models are returned with takes about 3 weeks to return, You can have a look the final result on the model. n some cases would be possible to replicate the wax up models directly on to your teeth so you can even see what can be achieved clinically. It is an ideal tool to help our patients to make up about what they wish to have.

In general it takes about 6-8 weeks for the wax up models and the fit of lumineers all together.
