Hi

I am a looking for a capable aesthetic dentist who can do a full mouth smile makeover for me with Lumineers. I am looking to have 16-20 Lumineers on my top and bottom front teeth and would like to ask a few questions.

Firstly are the top and bottom Lumineers usually placed at the same time, or are they placed at different times.

Secondly, will the aesthetic dentist recommend any other type of veneer for my teeth if he feels that Lumineers are not suitable for my teeth?

Thirdly, how long will the procedure take in terms of week to complete my case and how much input can I have in my smile design?

Top and bottom Lumineers can be placed at the same time and separately as required by the patient. The advantage of doing them at separate visits is that the jaws will not have to be open for a longer time whilst all the Lumineers are bonded.

Our aesthetic dentists will not recommend any type of veneer over another type. We provide four types of veneers and we will let you know the pros and cons of each type but ultimately the type of veneer that you choose is your decision.

If you decide to have Lumineers with the trial smile, the procedure will take around 8 weeks. If you opt to have Emax veneers or porcelain veneers the process will take around four weeks. Composite veneers usually need one or two visits say over two weeks.

We will ask you for your preferences in designing the smile design and we will always respect your choices. In the case of porcelain and Emax veneers we actually send you to the cosmetic lab for further discussion and input between you and the lab technician.
