Default Veneers for two front teeth

My dentist has recommended that I get Veneers for my two middle front teeth. I have caps on the two teeth on either side and I'm worried that the veneers might be a different color than my two caps. Should I be concerned? Can the dentist match the new veneers to my other teeth? I don't want to look like a freak! And how do they stay on? I have very little room between my front teeth and I'm worried that they might pop off.

It is very difficult to match central incisor veneers to crowns that have already been placed on your lateral incisors. If the lab which is carrying out the work is very good, the difference in colour will be minimal and not noticeable. Its always better if multiple unit cosmetic work is carried out all at the same time but this is not always possible due to financial constraints. Veneers stay on teeth pretty well, although not as well as full coverage crowns. Porcelain veneers bond to teeth with strong bonding cements although from time to time they can debond.
