Am I too young for dental veneers

Hi

I am 16 years old and hate the way my teeth look. They are too yellow and not straight. I have seen examples of veneers on the web and think they could make my teeth look a lot better.

In your opinion, am I too young for dental veneers? If I cant have dental veneers, can I have porcelain crowns?

The short answer is that you are probably too young for dental veneers and crowns. The reason is that your teeth are likely to have large pulp nerve chambers and veneers and crowns are more likely to cause sensitivity at this age than say in 5 years time.

Also the gum margin around your teeth may change level in the next few years and any veneers/crowns placed now may not look very good in a few years.

We will need to see you and see what other less invsaive options you have to improve the shape and shade of your teeth.
