    Default composite veneers

hello, i am interested in getting 6 composite veneers to my upper front teeth, is this something you would do as i dont want porcelain veneers yet as they require alot of prep, also i think they are too expensive for me. one of my front teeth has been been pushed forward so whitening alone would not make me entirely happy with my smile. at the moment i would like a reversible proceedure that isnt too invasive. also i would like quite a white composite. would you carry out this even if slightly better results can be acheived with porcelain veneers? thanks Richard

    Thank you for your post.

Yes we can add composite veneers to your upper front teeth and you can have a whiter shade of composite if you wish. Composite bonding comes in many shades including Bleach shade. You should whiten your other teeth if you wish to have very white composite bonding. As you are aware, composite bonding is cosmetically not as good as porcelain veneers. However composite bonding does not involve tooth shaving as involved with porcelain veneers.

Hi, please can you tell me how stain resistant composite veneers are? Especially for a smoker? Will they stain very easily? Also, how many appointments are required, including the consultation? Thank-you.

Composite veneers are not as stain resistant as porcelain veneers for sure. They can stain if you are a heavy smoker but they can also be easily repolished and repaired. Composite veneers usually need one consultation visit and one appointment for carrying out the procedure. Occasionally when many are being done, they may also need one visit for trial smile impressions so that the patient can preview what is going to be done.
