Talking Lumineers for worn down teeth

    Dear Doc,

I’m 40 and over the years I feel like my teeth are wearing away, so much so that I cant chew my food very well. I don’t see the dentist regularly but I do always brush and floss my teeth. I don’t think that I grind my teeth. Could you tell me a little bit about what may be causing my tooth wear, and how to prevent it.

Also a friend recommended getting Lumineers for my teeth. She said that they will make my teeth look great and build them up again. Is that something that could work for my worn down teeth?

Tooth wear is common and you can find out more about it on our tooth wear page. Lumineers do buildup teeth again and make them look good again but if you are a bruxist, there is a risk of your bite fracturing the lumineers.
