Small teeth

Hello

I have gaps between most of my teeth and my teeth are smaller than they should be. I would like my teeth to be wider and not have such big gaps between them and came across lumineers on your site. I dont want my teeth shaved down to little pegs in order to have porcelain veneers. One of my friends had her teeth whitened and then had Lumineers and her teeth look really good. Do you think Lumineers would close the gaps between my teeth effectively and if so, how many Lumineers do you think I will need to make all of my small teeth a bit bigger and the gaps between my teeth closed?
