Talking Can I broaden my smile with Veneers?

    Hi there,

I would like to enquire about getting some porcelain veneers to broaden my smile. My smile is very narrow and I don't show much of my middle and back teeth when I smile. A friend recently had her teeth done with veneers and her smile looks much nicer now because its much broader and whiter than before. The one thing about my teeth is that they are very stained, so I am not sure if veneers would work on really stained teeth or if I should be getting porcelain crowns. Also I don't know if I should be getting eight or ten porcelain veneers for a really broader smile.

    Please advise.

Question Can I broaden my smile with Veneers?

    Thank you for your question.

To broaden a smile, porcelain veneer will work well. If teeth are really badly stained, they may need a good clean and teeth whitening first before veneers are placed. With very badly discoloured teeth sometimes crown placement becomes necessary but this is rare.
