NHS cosmetic dentist

Hi

My six top front teeth are very discoloured and I have tried to whiten them with a teeth whitening kit that I found on the internet. Unfortunately it did not work and just burnt my gums and made my teeth very sensitive.

I saw my NHS dentist last week and asked him to whiten my teeth professionally and he mentioned that this treatment is not available on the NHS as its a cosmetic treatment.

Do you know of any NHS cosmetic dentists that can whiten my teeth on the NHS. I also like to have porcelain veneers if teeth whitening does not work but cant afford to pay private cosmetic dentist fees.

I am not aware of any NHS dentists who do cosmetic dentistry on the NHS. However I recommend that you contact your local PCT and asked them if cosmetic work is available on the NHS in your area.
