The latest innovation in cosmetic dentistry is the "Trial Smile" which here at Pearl Dental Clinic we are proud to provide for our patient's seeking to have Lumineers and Emax Porcelain Veneers.

In the past, patients who wanted to have dental Veneers, were not aware of their smile design, until the veneers were cemented permanently on their teeth. At this point, only limited changes could be made to the veneers.

Thanks to the latest innovations by the Lumineers lab in California, we can now provide a trial smile for patients right at the beginning of the treatment. This allows the patients to see their smile design on stone models before the treatment begins.

Temporary trial veneers are also made based on the trial smile design, so that the patient can assess their final veneer design actually in their own mouth. This is much more realistic than seeing lifeless computer designs on a monitor.

The patient can then change the design of the final veneers, such as the height of the veneers or their shape or their shade. When the patient is satisfied with the Lumineers design, we then go to work and the final Lumineers are then produced by the Lumineers lab.

Once the Lumineers arrive, we have the latest shades of "trial cement" made by the Lumineers lab, so that the patient could see how their final veneers would look with different shades of cement before having them cemented permanently with their chosen shade.

Changing the shade of the cement affects the final shade of the Lumineers and gives the patients the option to change the final shade of the Lumineers as they wish.

Overall the Trial Smile really gives patients control over their smile design and is a welcome addition from the Lumineers company.
