Porcelain veneers placed last year these were stained within a few weeks and after a few months dark brown in colour despite avoiding tea, coffee etc and do not smoke no fillings or root canal.
Dentist unable to remove these stains and is possibly willing to replace but I do not know how to stop this happenning again.
Do you have any ideas about this? Is there a particular brand which is more stain resistant than others?
Thanks

Stained veneers
Thank you for your post.
Unfortunately all porcelain veneers can stain around their margins. Some of these stains can be removed by hygiene treatment but not all of them.
If the porcelain veneer surface is well polished there should be less chance of staining. If the stains cant be removed, then maybe you should take up your dentists offer of having them replaced.Dr Mohsen J. Esfahani BDS (London) MFDS RCS (England)
