    Question Single tooth veneer

    Hi

I have a tooth that was composite veneered by my previous dentist about four years ago and has since chipped and become stained. My new dentist says that I should have four or more porcelain veneers on my front teeth in order for them to match and look good.

However I am not rich and cant afford four porcelain veneers at £500 each and would like a cheaper and simpler option than that. I was thinking of just having one single porcelain veneer but my dentist says that it will probably not match my other teeth.

Is there a way of having a single tooth veneer that matches the other teeth around it and looks good or is my only option to have four or more veneers?

    Wink Single tooth veneer

    Thank you for your question.

A single veneer is very difficult to match in shade with the neighbouring teeth especially if the neighbouring teeth have different shades. We do in nearly all of our veneer cases refer the patient to the cosmetic lab for a lab shade take and design and usually achieve better results by doing it in this way.
