I would like to change the colour of my teeth

I have teeth that are very yellow and stained. Looking at your tooth colour chart, my teeth look like they are shade A4 or something close to that. I do smoke 20 per day and I think thats probably the main cause of my teeth becoming so yellow looking.

If I have Zoom advanced power whitening will it be able to change the colour of my teeth or do you recommend that I have dental veneers instead. Which method will change my teeth colour permanently as I don't wish to have something done that is going to be temporary.

Also my fang teeth are particularly darker than the rest of my teeth, is it possible to make them uniform in colour so that all of my teeth have the same colour?

Thank you for your post. Changing the shade of your teeth can be done with teeth whitening or dental veneers. Teeth whitening results eventually fade and are not permanent but on the other hand teeth whitening is not damaging to tooth tissue whereas veneers involve tooth removal which is irreversible.

Teeth whitening is unpredictable, so it will probably not make all of your teeth uniform in colour, whereas you have a better chance of achieving uniformness in teeth colour with veneers.

I normally recommend doing teeth whitening first and seeing how white your teeth will become without veneers. If after teeth whitening, you decide you wish to have even whiter teeth, then you can go ahead and have composite or porcelain veneers if you wish.
