Tooth contouring

Hi

My canine teeth are longer than my other teeth and the tip in particular is longer than I would like it to be and sometimes even catches my lips when I am talking or eating.

Is it possible to contour these two canine teeth and make them a little bit shorter at the tip? The alternative I thought about was to have my other teeth built up with bonding but then that would cost more and will need more maintenance long term.

I was also thinking about whitening my teeth but did not know if I should do the teeth whitening before or after the teeth contouring? Does it make any difference to the end result?

Are there any risks in removing a little bit off the tip of my canines and tooth contouring them so that they look more feminine and less pointed and long?

Thank you for your question.

From what you have mentioned in your question yes it may be possible to shorten your canine and then stabilizes them to avoid any sensitivity. It is better to whiten your teeth first and then make the necessary shortening and contouring of your teeth.
