Red face UV light teeth whitening

    Hi

I would like to have power whitening to whiten my teeth because my teeth have become very yellow. I understand that you use the Zoom system which uses a UV light teeth whitening system to whiten yellow teeth.

But I also came across another power whitening system that uses a LED light to whiten teeth. But I was not sure which system would give better whitening results.

I would like my teeth to be as white as possible after the power whitening because I don't have the time to do any home whitening afterwards, so I would like to know which do you think would be the more powerful light?

    Thank you

    Smile UV light teeth whitening

    Hello Sanjay,

    Thank you for your post.

Research and trials carried out on power whitening have shown teeth whitening results to be better with UV light over LED lights. Systems such as zoom whitening give better results than LED light teeth whitening systems in the market. The Ultraviolet light can activate the bleach and improve the whitening effect. However we also know that the overall improvement achieved with any light system is not very much and it is the bleach which achieves most of the whitening effect.

At Pearl we have achieved very good results with zoom whitening. For moderately stained teeth an average of 8 shades of improvement can be expected with the zoom laser whitening. It is however a standard procedure and results will vary from individual to individual. To maintain and improve the whiteness achieved with the power whitening we recommend you also take the home teeth whitening kit. The best whitening results are achieved with combination teeth whitening.

In summary from my experience I do not recommend any form of led light tooth whitening. UV light tooth whitening is more effective and the most effective of all systems is the combination teeth whitening. Please contact us for a free teeth whitening consultation and we will discuss your individual treatment is more detail.
