Birthday teeth whitening

Hello, I’m really excited about having tooth whitening in time for my birthday in October. My mother has offered to pay!

However i have a crown on one of my front teeth. I fell over when i was a teenager, the tooth was root filled then crowned a few years later.

I also have a couple of small white fillings at the front. Will my crown and fillings bleach as well and change colour with the rest of my teeth.

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately you fillings and crown does not change colour with whitening and once your teeth have been whitened, they may need replacing to match their colour with the new colour of your teeth.
As your birthday is not far and replacing fillings and crowns does take some time and whitening has to be done before your fillings and crowns are changed, I suggest you to come and see us asap so everything can be done on time for your birthday.
