What should I bring to my Zoom whitening appointment?

Hi

I am due to have my teeth whitened with Zoom whitening next week and I just wanted to ask a couple of questions which I forgot to ask the lady on the phone when I booked the appointment.

Firstly, should I see my own dentist beforehand to get my teeth checked and cleaned? I guess if the teeth are cleaner, the whitening works better, is that correct?

Secondly, should I bring anything with me to my Zoom whitening appointment? I am coming from Central London, so I rather come prepared and make sure everything is ready for my Zoom whitening.

Zoom whitening is performed on teeth which are healthy and clean. So it is a good idea to have your teeth checked and cleaned by your dentist before the zoom whitening appointment. Whitening will work better when the teeth are clean and our zoom whitening dentists will offer you a clean before the zoom whitening. The cleaning may even be included in the zoom whitening fee.

If you take any medications please bring the list with you to the zoom whitening appointment. Some medications are photoreactive with the ultraviolet light and should not be taken prior to the zoom whitening procedure. They can only be stopped following a discussion with your general medical practitioner or consultant.

You can bring some painkillers like ibuprofen and paracetemol, however should you need them we will provide painkillers at the clinic. Finally you can bring a music player or entertainment device to the appointment as the zoom whitening procedure takes a little over 1 hour.
