Power whitening procedure

I am interested in getting the power whitening procedure next week to whiten my stained teeth. I tried whitening trays from the internet and they didn't work that well, so I am looking for better results with power whitening.

Could you explain the power whitening procedure to me. How long does it take? Would I need to take any painkillers beforehand? How white will my teeth be afterwards?

On the internet, it says that the teeth can become sensitive after power whitening. How long does the sensitivity normally last? Are there any restrictions on what can eat after the whitening procedure?

The power whitening treatment we use at Pearl is the zoom 2 advanced laser whitening. The zoom is a 1 hour chairside procedure which lightens teeth by an average of 8 shades. The soft tissues of the mouth are isolated and protected and the bleaching gel applied for three 15min sessions.

If you suffer from sensitive teeth then you can take a painkiller before the whitening procedure. If your teeth become sensitive it lasts for approximately 48 hours. Normally the day after the zoom power whitening procedure your teeth feel fine.

For 48 hours after the whitening procedure you should avoid highly coloured foods and drinks. These include coffee, tea, red wine and raspberries etc. You should also avoid smoking for 48 hours.
