Teeth bleaching

Hello

I am interested in getting teeth bleaching and been looking at the different types of of teeth bleaching that you provide at pearl dental clinic.

I have got 2 front crowns that I have had since I had a riding accident a few years and they are now both looking very yellow, so I am looking to get them replaced.

I would like to know if I should do tooth bleaching first and then change the crowns or vise versa. Also how do I go about maintaining the shade of my teeth once they become whiter?

Teeth whitening should be done before restorative treatments like crowns/veneers and fillings. This is so that they can then be matched closely to the new colour of the teeth. As teeth whitening can't be predicted exactly you should do this first and then have the new front crowns made to match your teeth colour.

To maintain the shade of your teeth you will need to have the home whitening kit with custom made bleaching trays. You will then need to do 1 night a month maintanence whitening. This should be done ideally overnight for at least 6 or 7 hours. The bleaching gel we provide is enough for 2 weeks so this would cover you for 1 year of touch-up whitening if used once a month.
