Whitening during pregnancy
Hello Ted,
Thank you for your question.
The effect of the tooth whitening gel on the baby, if you're pregnant, is unknown. Teeth whitening is therefore not advised during pregnancy.
There has not been sufficient tests done on the effects of using a whitening gel while pregnant. Until studies have been done on a large scale, it is best not to take any undue risks.
Manufacturers of teeth whitening products recommend against using them during pregnancy for liability reasons. Zoom! treatment is not recommended for pregnant women.
Please call us on 0208 547 9997 to check our availability for laser whitening. Whitening consultations are free at Pearl Dental Clinic.Dr Ehsan J. Esfahani BDS (Hons)
