One hour teeth whitening

Hi

I am interested in getting the one hour teeth whitening done next month. I just have a couple of questions to ask regarding the the teeth whitening procedure.

1. Does the teeth whitening procedure only take one hour or is it likely to take longer. If its likely to take longer, can I use my ipod during the whitening procedure.

2. How often should I repeat the one hour teeth whitening for the best long term teeth whitening results.

Hello Rose,

The zoom teeth whitening procedure takes approximately 1 hour and 15mins. Isolating and preparing the teeth takes 15mins. 3 whitening sessions of 15mins are carried out. Between each session the whitening gel is replaced and this takes 15mins.

Feel free to bring your ipod to use during the zoom whitening procedure. We do have the facilities at Pearl Dental Clinic to play music and videos during your visit.

The zoom whitening treatment is very effective at providing an instant whitening result however the length of time this lasts varies from individual to individual. This can range from 3 months to 2 years.

For best long term teeth whitening results it is advised to do regular home whitening touch-up treatments. This is very effective, easy and safe. If you dont want to do the home whitening then you can do the zoom every 2-5 years to maintain the whiteness.

Good oral hygiene and regular hygiene visits will also help maintain your whiter smile.
