Zoom teeth bleaching

Hi

I would like to have my teeth bleached with the Zoom system and I would like to know if the Zoom teeth bleaching procedure has any risks involved with it?

I have read about Zoom bleaching causing temporary teeth sensitivity already but would like to know if there are any other more serious side effects associated with the system?

Zoom teeth bleaching carries the following main risks:

1. The teeth will become more sensitive during the procedure and afterwards for about ~48 hours or so. This is very common.

2. Gums can become burned, if this happens it usually recovers with vitamin E application. Very rarely it can cause gum recession.

3. Whitening can very rarely cause a tooth to lose vitality.

4. Zoom teeth bleaching can only whiten enamel. So fillings, crowns, veneers, root filled teeth and dentine will not whiten.

5. Teeth bleaching is unpredictable, so no body could be sure what shade your teeth will be after the procedure.

6. Bleaching eventually fades, so top-up will be required to maintain the results.
