Some doubts regarding Zoom teeth whitening

1. Can a dental hygeine appointment/scale and polish be carried out on the same day as Zoom teeth whitening? When I phoned for an appointment at another place, I was told there should be a minimum 3 days gap.

2. For how many days after the treatment should one avois coloured foods? 1, 2, 3, more?

Thank you for your post. Gums should be healthy before any teeth whitening is carried out. If the gums are inflamed, they will bleed and prevent the Zoom gum protection gel from bonding well to the teeth. So if you do have inflamed gums, you should have your teeth cleaned professionally and wait until your gums are no longer inflamed before having your teeth whitened.

If your gums are not inflamed and you simply have stains on your teeth, you could have cleaning and Zoom teeth whitening at the same visit.

Zoom recommend not consuming coloured foods for 48 hours after Zoom whitening.
