    Default Dental whitening trays

I had some whitening trays made several years ago and wonder if there's a possibility that these same trays can be used again? If not, I'm just going to throw them away. Does the dentist need to make new trays each time, or after so many years have passed by?

    Hello Gerie

    Thank you for your post.

If your whitening trays are well fitting and are in a good condition then you can use them again. To confirm this is the case you should see your dentist. If your teeth shape or position have changed since the whitening trays were made they will not fit again and you will need to see your dentist to have new whitening trays made. After an assessment with your dentist, they will advise you if you should have new whitening trays made or if you can still use the old ones. On average whitening trays last for a couple of years. Whitening consultations are available 7 days a week at Pearl Dental Clinic.
