Hi, I'm new so here goes
I have severe fluorosis, causing my teeth to become discolored (brown and yellow stains) and pitted. After going to the dentist and being told no amount of tooth whitening would help and bonding/veneers were my only option I did some research and my teeth have improved dramatically. Basically I use a pumice on my teeth (fine) and after polishing them I apply a 37% etching gel onto my teeth for 2 minutes. I gently aggitate the ENAMEL ONLY and rinse/blot my teeth. Then, I rinse my mouth for 4 minutes with whitening mouthwash (I read topical fluoride works too) and so far I have done about 5 treatments within a month. It is VERY important to apply MI paste recaldent at least twice a day and after etching. My teeth no longer have pits, are visibly whiter and healthier looking, they are my natural smile, and definetely cheaper than cosmetic dentistry.
My question is although my teeth are 10x better, is there a faster way of whitening my dentin by applying the etchant then a topical fluoride or peroxide? I do not want to damage my dentin or stress it any more than what my recent treatments have already.
