Deep Bleaching


Deep bleaching is a system of whitening used for those patients who want a teeth whitening system that provides them with really white teeth.


How does deep bleaching work?

Our dentists first take an impression of your top and bottom teeth so that we can make custom-made deep bleaching trays for you.

Once the deep bleaching trays are fitted, you wear your deep bleaching trays each night for 2-3 hours for 14 consecutive nights. You place a few drops of the Enlighten whitening gel inside your trays and the gel works on your teeth.

Enlighten whitening gel is specially created to minimise sensitivity while allowing a longer duration of effect.

Once the whitening gel is finished, you can come back to see us for Zoom chair-side whitening. This can result in your teeth appearing up to 14-16 shades lighter.


How long do the effects of deep bleaching last?

This depends on your diet and your cleaning habits. To maintain the effects of whitening, the trays should be worn for one night every month.

This technique has been found to be successful with many cases achieving shade B1 or even lighter.


Does deep bleaching cause sensitivity?

As with all teeth-whitening treatments, patients may encounter some sensitivity when using the Enlighten whitening system as well as the Zoom whitening system. However this sensitivity is temporary and usually ends once the whitening treatment is completed.
