Question Afraid of the dentists drill

    Hello

I have a cavity in my molar tooth that needs a filling. My dentist says that because the tooth has decay, he will need to remove the decay first and then fill the cavity with a filling.

I am very afraid of the dentists drill and got a panic attack the last time the dentist drilled my tooth about 5 years ago. I find the whole vibrations of dentist drills very scary and worry that I will have similar problems again.

Can you offer any alternatives to the dentists drill for having a dental filling? Is there a way of reducing the vibrations that I can feel in my head when the dentists drill is working on my tooth?

Talking Afraid of the dentists drill

    Thank you for your post.

We use the most modern electric drills which produce much less vibrations that the conventional drills used in the past. We can also provide you with IV sedation even very deep IV sedation if you wish, which will make you relaxed and sleepy and not likely to remember any of the treatment.
