Arrow Wisdom tooth extraction under sedation

    Hi

My lower right wisdom tooth has been hurting all night non-stop and this is probably the fourth or fifth time in the last few months that I have been having pain from this tooth. Although this is the most severe that the pain has ever been and I am worried that it might ruin my holiday in two weeks.

I would like to know if I could have my wisdom tooth extracted under sedation this week? If I can, how long will the procedure take? How much will it cost? I have had asthma since childhood, its not severe but in the winter, I occasionally take my inhalers, could I still go ahead with sedation?

If I can have it done this week, how long will the wisdom tooth extraction recovery take? Will I have to take anytime off work?

Post Wisdom tooth extraction under sedation

We can arrange for your wisdom tooth to be removed this week under sedation. Your asthma as long as its well controlled, will not pose any problems.

Deep Iv sedation by experienced theatre specialist anaesthetist costs £240 per hour. The wisdom tooth extraction usually needs around 60 minutes of surgery time. Your recovery is likely to take a few days subject to the difficulty of extraction. The dentist will be able to advise you on how many days you will need to rest as this varies from case to case.
