Thumbs up Bad experience of dentists

    Hi there,

I am enquiring on behalf of my boyfriend he had an accident a few years ago and has had a bad experience of dentists. His front tooth got knocked and it created a chip and hole which causes discomfort and he wants it fixed.

He does however want to be put fully under as of the scare he had, but is aware of an extra cost. Would you be able to help? If so much would it be quick and how much?

    Kind regards

Red face Bad experience of dentists

    Thank you for your post.

Putting people fully under or unconscious is done with general anaesthetic and very few dental treatments are done these days under GA.

We use IV sedation which makes people sleepy but they still breath by themselves and are conscious and this is safer than GA.

Sedation at Pearl dental clinic is carried out by a very experienced specialist anaesthetist who can provide very deep but safe IV sedation. It costs £240 per hour and we can provide it usually within a day or two subject to anaesthetist availability. Please call reception for a consultation so that we can assess your partner and arrange his treatment.
