Sedation dentistry

Hi

I have just found out about possibility of having sedation dentistry instead of the old painful dentistry that I remember from my childhood years.

I would like to know if sedation dentistry is available for all types of dentistry or if its restricted to more complex jobs in dentistry. Also would I be able to claim back the cost of sedation dentistry from my dental insurance provider? Could I have sedation treatment on a weekend because taking time off during the week is very difficult in the current climate.

Sedation dentistry is available for just about any dental treatment as long as you do not have any medical contraindications to IV sedation.

We do provide IV sedation on weekends and its very popular with patients as it means that they do not need to take time off work. I don't know if your dental insurance provider pays for IV sedation but it would be worth asking them to clarify the matter for you.
