    Default Deep dental sedation

    Hi

I am a very nervous patient who has not seen a dentist in over 20 years. As a child I used to be forced to go to the dentist and it was a horrible experience that forever put me off going to the dentist voluntarily. I now have several teeth that are really in a mess and probably need to be pulled out because I am getting infection and pain from them.

I have been to a local dentist last week and asked to have deep sedation but they said that deep sedation is only available in the hospital and there is a waiting list for that. Do you provide deep sedation and if so, how quickly can you remove these rotten teeth? I used to have high blood pressure but I am taking tablets for that now and its under control now and otherwise I am ok health wise.

    Thumbs up Deep dental sedation

    Thank you for your post.

At Pearl Dental Clinic we do provide deep multi-drug IV sedation by a Specialist Anaesthetist, which is the deepest form of sedation one can achieve without General anaesthesia. Please be aware however, that this is not General anesthesia and you will not be completely unconscious. General anaesthesia is only available in Hospitals due to risk of possible complications.

In order to plan the treatment you require, we would simply need to see you for an assessment with one of our team of experienced Dentists, which can be organised straight away, even same day. Once we have seen you clinically, an appointment for treatment under sedation can usually be arranged within a couple of days of your initial visit.

If you would like to arrange an appointment, please feel free to contact a member of our reception team on the numbers below.
