scared of sedation needles

Hi

I have terrible phobia of needles and have seen several councilors for help to overcome my phobia without any success. My phobias all stem from my dental problems as a child and having to have many injections for dental work because I had such bad teeth as a child. I have now been told that I need several teeth filled and one tooth removed but cant face the injections and not even the IV sedation injections. Can you tell me if there is any help available for me so that I can have my treatment without having any injections?

I am afraid dental treatment such as tooth extractions need injections and IV sedation itself needs to be injected into the body. Instead of IV sedation, you can have oral sedation or inhalation sedation which are administered without injections but you will still need to have the tooth numbed with an injection.

There are special anaesthetic creams which can be applied to the skin before the IV sedation is administered which can reduce the pain of IV sedation injection.
