Scared of tooth extractions

I am 13 years old and I have been told by my dentist that I need four teeth removed before I have braces. I need to have these teeth removed before my orthodontist appointment next month and my dentist wants to remove two of these teeth at time. I am totally scared of tooth extractions and wonder if I can be sedated for the tooth extractions?

IV sedation is not licenced to be used in dentistry for 13 year old young people. However you may be able to have inhalation sedation for your tooth extractions. We dont at the moment provide inhalation sedation and only provide IV sedation. However I am sure your dentist can refer you to somebody who provides inhalation sedation if thats deemed appropriate.
