Dentist Sedation

Hi

I need dentist sedation for my teeth cleaning because I get very nervous during dental treatment. I have not been to the dentist for a few years cos I have been so nervous. Can you tell me if IV sedation is safe and if so, can I have my teeth cleaning done with sedation.

Also if I need any fillings, can they be done at the same time.
