Will Sedation dentistry make me Unconscious?

I would like to have some Lumineers made under sedation. I am a very nervous patient and really dont wish to be awake whilst the treatment is being carried out.

Can you tell me if I will be unconscious during IV sedation? If I will not be Unconscious during IV sedation, can you tell me what I will need to request so that I could have Unconscious sedation.

Sedation dentistry does not make you unconscious and you will be conscious through out the procedure. You will remember very little if anything afterwards but you will be conscious.

For unconscious dentistry you will have to have a General Anaesthetic and because that carries risks, very little general dentistry is done with a general anaesthetic these days.

IV Sedation in the right hands is very safe and most dental procedures can be done in a very comfortable way under IV sedation and local anaesthetic.
