Nervous about dentistry

I have a life long fear of the Dentist. My biggest problem is the initial check up as i can`t have the `hook`scraping & digging in my teeth. My gums have receded slightly,so it caused big problems for me when my last Dentist scraped it along my tooth.

My question is, i have toothache,if i come to your practice, can you check my teeth without the `hook`, & can you do the treatment under the sedation in the same visit as i will be travelling from Ramsgate & i don`t want to have to go through two visits.

We can see you on one visit for a consultation and then arrange your treatment under sedation on another visit. This is because sedation treatment needs to be planned properly. We can try to avoid using the probe if thats what you mean by the "hook" but sometimes for accurate diagnosis the use of the probe becomes necessary.
