Will the dentist numb my tooth before or after sedation?

I am due to be sedated for some teeth extractions next week. Could you tell me at what point will my teeth be numbed? Will the teeth be numbed before I am sedated or after the IV sedation is given?

Also Will I remember the anaesthetic injection afterwards?

Thank you for your post.

Just to put you mind at rest, all the treatment that you receive when having IV sedation is done after your are fully and comfortably sedated. So you are neither aware of what is going on nor will rememeber what has taken place. But I have to say it is a wonderful sensation when you have treatment under iv sedation as I myself have had it before.
